EU Democracy at work
On Wednesday the 28th the European Parliaments chairmen met with the President of the Commission Barroso and vice president Margot Wallstrom. Barroso spoke for 20 minutes, Wallström added 5 minutes, the chairmen up to 10 minutes each and then Barroso answered for 15 minutes - with no possibility for further questions or deliberations.
This is parliamentary democracy at work! No real scrutiny, no real debate,two different worlds where the non-elected decide and the elected look at those who decide and dine with them 2-3 times a year.
