Gordon Brown reveals his boyhood hero was explorer Captain Scott - who died alone in the cold. Daily Mail



Just last month, Gordon Brown compared himself to another tragic hero. In an interview, he said it was 'absolutely correct' to compare him to the brooding but short-tempered Heathcliff who appears in Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights.
